Hi, Camera Club Members, Friends and Family
Save Sunday, February 26, for an exciting field trip to The Big Cypress Shootout, a Seminole War Reenactment. This is
truly a great photo op, with so many things going on that you won't know where to point your camera. When we did this field
trip before, I came out with hundreds of fabulous shots. There was the soldiers' encampment when I saw weary families roasting
vittles over campfires, and a general on horseback giving advice to his men. And then, wow, during the big shootout I almost
wore out my camera taking pictures of the battle between the Seminoles and the U.S. Army, what with smoke from gunfire and
canons, hand-to-hand combat, horses thundering across the field, sometimes losing their rider along the way. Talk about excitement!
That's only one part of what's on offer at the Big Cypress Shootout. It will go on for three days, but as a group we
plan to attend on Sunday, Feb. 26. Carpooling is a possibility. I'll be out of town until Jan 30, but if you have questions
that can't wait, shoot an email to Albert (alseiden@mac.com).
